The Forums here are pretty much a lot of hot air. Try following good reviewers, comment on their blogs. It's not as instantaneous as in http://chat.newgrounds.com/ but you'll get responses... make yourself known.
Next blog/newspost you make, try telling the members here about yourself, what you're good at, what you like, or a question about something you're interested in. Or you could be daring, and start a thread in General...
